Abstract

Studies were conducted to determine the effect of calcium in field grown papaya, cultivated under conventional and organic systems. The organic system used EM bokashi as fertilizer and four levels of Calcium oxide as treatments. The addition of calcium increased fruit yields significantly over that of the conventional system. The potential of managing papaya in organic systems using EM to enhance yields is presented.
