Abstract
A pot experiment using a complete randomized design was conducted from
October 1998 to March 2001 in a greenhouse of the Teacher Training College,
Hanoi, Vietnam utilizing replicates of sticky rice and 3 each of VNL4 maize
and Haricot bean to determining the influence of EM-FPE. In three years
the yields of rice in EM treated plots increased from a minimum of 7% to
a maximum of 12%. Likewise in maize the total dry mass increased by 15
% and grain yields by 9 % within a two year period. The yields of Haricot
bean increased by 12 %.
